Fishing At Pokagon State Park

Visitors to Pokagon State Park can enjoy fishing and/or ice fishing for bass, bluegill, walleye, crappie, catfish, northern pike, and more in Lake James. A state fishing license is required.

Fishing boat rentals (and other boat rentals) are available – make reservations at the Potawatomi Inn front desk. If you want to use your own boat, slips are also available, but there are no boat launching facilities.

A state license is required to fish at Pokagon State Park and can be acquired at the park office. To purchase a fishing license before arriving at the park, go to INHuntFish.com.
